Arlie is my pretty girl
who has been known to have a mind of her own, especially when it came to showing. She easily earned
multiple reserves as supported
entries (all major points) but due to the fact she just couldn't stand to have a "yucky" judge putting their hands on her
the big win always evaded her. She is really a silly girl who likes to do everything on her own terms. That is what I find
so endearing about her- although it can also be trying at times.
Arlie is really my mother's dog- mom picked Arlie and Arlie picked
mom. Arlie would rather be with my mother than with anyone else in the world. In fact, I hadn't planned on keeping Arlie when
she was a puppy but my mother convinced me that she should stay. Mom was right because Arlie has brought so much to our lives.
Arlie became a mother in November of 2005 and while she wasn't
completely sure of motherhood initially, she took to it quickly and blossomed. She did a wonderful job raising and training
her 6 pack - with a little help from her human friends; especially her Aunt Karen - who came down to Alabama for the first
three weeks of her puppies lives.
Arlie finished her Championship (YEA!) in 2006 at a supported
entry show in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She finally decided that the show ring wasn't such a bad place and earned 2 majors as well
as 4 single in a very short time.
Arlie is currently training in Agility and just begun obedience
classes. She is being trained by my mother and they are both having a great time!
